The lighting and diffuse/material system has been improved, making it significantly more modern while still remaining highly performant.
Shadows have been visually reworked.
Trees now receive better and more lighting.
The day/night system has been modernized, adding more atmosphere with improved moonlight.
An underwater effect has been added.
Rain effects have been reworked.
Clouds are now more volumetric and move more naturally.
SSAO has been improved and refined. GTAO
The view distance system has been reworked and now includes 4 different modes.
