**Reliable.**
I consider the owner of this product to be a highly trustworthy and ethical person. We are actively working together, and they are extremely knowledgeable in their field. I’ll break this review down into several sections and summarize everything at the end.
**Why Is It Necessary?**
Before discovering SD, we had to jump through countless hoops to protect our servers against DDoS and botnet attacks. We practically had to become IPFW/PF experts for Unix, dealing with UDP knocks, encryption, PPS limits, queues, pipes, and dozens of rules and layers that we had built ourselves to mitigate attacks. On top of all that, we also had to manage edge servers.
In 2026, proxies have become affordable enough to make attacks accessible not just from abroad, but from within your own country as well. Even if you implement geolocation-based rules, you can still receive attacks from the very regions where your actual customer base is located.
You simply cannot stop a large-scale botnet attack at the software level, because the bottleneck is no longer your application. It becomes the host's NIC, the server's network bandwidth, or its processing capacity.
**What Does SD Do?**
SD inspects and analyzes the packets reaching your server, applying all the limits I mentioned above across its own layers and ensuring that only packets originating from legitimate clients reach your server.
As a result, you no longer have to deal with any of the complexities described above. You effectively outsource the responsibility of protecting your servers against attacks to a team of specialists.
**How Is Their Support?**
I think this is another area where they really stand out. They are consistently available through WhatsApp or Discord, and you get an immediate response even to the smallest issue or question.
The onboarding process is automated, and if you have some technical knowledge, you can handle it yourself. However, if you need a custom implementation, their team will connect via AnyDesk and spend hours helping you without making excuses.
My rating for their support is consistently **11/10**.
**In Summary: Who Should Use It?**
There really is no limit here. I use SD for my game servers, but their product range is expanding day by day, so you can also use their services to protect your existing web applications and public-facing backends.
They are already experts in Layer 4 TCP filtering for gaming infrastructure. If you have Layer 7 applications, I’m confident they can help if you reach out to them.
They also offer services for server and Cloudflare management, as well as products focused on proxy and VPN detection.
If you
run an online game or have any unprotected applications exposed to botnet attacks, I recommend getting in touch with them. Even if you don't end up purchasing a service, they are willing to help with technical guidance and share their knowledge.
